In a story published Thursday about the opening of the county’s new veterans service office, Attorney General Leslie Rutledge was quoted. Her staff contacted the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette on Thursday to say that she was misquoted and that what she said was: “I know the kind of heart that Pine Bluff has. I also know that it’s because of that heart and people in Jefferson County are why we are standing before this beautiful building today to give back.”
