Jefferson County Food & Safety Report

The Arkansas Department of Health regulates the sale of food at establishments that include restaurants, bars, day cares, schools, grocery stores, convenience stores, bed and breakfast facilities, hotels/motels, mobile units and concession stands. Inspections are made unannounced by environmental health specialists.

UNDERWATER SEAFOOD, 916 S. Cherry St. Date of inspection March

  1. No violations observed during time of inspection. Establishment is okay to operate.

ARKANSAS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTION – ESTER UNIT, 7500 Correction Circle. Date of inspection March 8. Observed bulk containers of seasonings in establishment not labeled with the common name of the food it contains. Food not in the original packages for use in establishment must be identified with the common name of the food. Seasoning was labeled during inspection.

EDGEWOOD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, 4100 W. 32rd Ave. Date of inspection March 8. Observation: Observed food in trash can. Inside the retail food establishment if the receptacles and units, contain food residue and are not in continuous use.
