FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 200 W. Sixth Ave., will host the Neighbor to Neighbor drive-thru Souper Bowl Soup Sale from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4. Regular soups are $10 per quart and seafood soups, chowders or gumbos are $15 per quart, according to a news release. This will be a covid-safe event. Masks will be worn and social distancing will be practiced.
KINGS HIGHWAY MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 2312 Fluker St., will celebrate Women’s Day at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 14. The featured speaker will be Shere Morris, a member of Kings Highway. ONE PINE BLUFF PRAYING TOGETHER SERVICES will continue by conference call or Zoom due to Covid-19. On Jan. 31, the host church will be First Assembly of God, 1002 Ridgway Road. The sessions are held in months that have five Sundays.
UNITY CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP CHURCH, 2712 S. Bay St., invites the community to its church services at 10 a.m. Sundays. On Tuesdays, Family Night begins with Bible Study at 6 p.m. followed by Personal Financial Education class at 7 p.m. Safety guidelines are followed.
NEW COMMUNITY CHURCH, 321 N. Birch St., invites the community to its services in the sanctuary at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sundays. New Community follows health guidelines and practices social distancing. Hand sanitizer stations are located at the entrances and masks are available for people who don’t have them.
ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 15th Avenue and Alabama Street, reopened its Saturday Soup Kitchen for carry out meals only. The kitchen will be open Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Everyone is welcome to the program held in the cafeteria, the red brick building, according to a news release.
