Jefferson County Food & Safety Report

The Arkansas Department of Health regulates the sale of food at establishments that include restaurants, bars, day cares, schools, grocery stores, convenience stores, bed and breakfast facilities, hotels/motels, mobile units and concession stands. Inspections are made unannounced by environmental health specialists.

The following are the results of food safety inspections conducted by the Jefferson County Health Unit:

POPEYE’S LOUISIANA KITCHEN, 8101 Sheridan Road/120 Commerce Drive, White Hall. Date of inspection Jan. 5, 2021. Raw chicken (45 and 48 degrees F) in walk in cooler is out of safe temperature range. Time/Temperature Control for Safety (TCS) Foods shall be kept cold at a temperature of 41.0°F or below, as measured by an internal probe thermometer, to limit bacterial growth. Hot water equipment above the service sink is leaking and needs to be repaired. Flooring in the walk in freezer is unclean and needs to be cleaned.

POPEYE’S LOUISIANA KITCHEN, 8101 Sheridan Road/120 Commerce Drive, White Hall. Date of follow-up inspection Jan. 6, 2021. Flooring in the walk in freezer is unclean and needs to be cleaned. Walk in freezer floor was cleaned during inspection.

BURGER KING, 7820 Sheridan Road, White Hall. Date of inspection Jan. 5, 2021. Ceiling vents above storage area and hand washing sink are unclean. Clean the physical facilities as often as necessary to keep them clean.

DOLLAR GENERAL STORE, 14019 Dollarway Road, White Hall. Date of inspection Jan. 5, 2021. Yogurt (48 degrees F) in refrigerator is out of safe temperature range. Time/Temperature Control for Safety (TCS) Foods shall be kept cold at a temperature of 41.0°F or below, as measured by an internal probe thermometer, to limit bacterial growth.
