The Arkansas Department of Health regulates the sale of food at establishments that include restaurants, bars, day cares, schools, grocery stores, convenience stores, bed and breakfast facilities, hotels/motels, mobile units and concession stands. Inspections are made unannounced by environmental health specialists.

PINE BLUFF CONVENTION CENTER, #1 Convention Center Plaza. Date of inspection Nov. 17. Observed openings in bottom of back door. All outer openings of a food establishment should be protected against the entry of insects and rodents.

TACO BELL, 3501 Camden Road. Date of inspection Nov. 17. Observation: Observed food residue on cups holder and shelves. Corrective Action: Nonfood contact surfaces shall be kept free of an accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue, and other debris. 52 5-501.113 NC Observation: Observed trash cans food residue not covered. Trash cans containing food residue shall be stored covered when not in continuous use.
TURNING POINT YOUTH DEVELOPMENT CENTER, 508 S. Mulberry St. Date of inspection Nov.

LITTLE CAESARS, 5801 Dollar-way Road, Suite B. Date of inspection Nov. 16. Observed trash cans containing food residue being stored uncovered when not in continuous use. Trash cans containing food residue should be covered when not in continuous use.
MCDONALD’S, 8012 Sheridan Road, White Hall. Date of follow-up inspection Nov. 16. Some floors in establishment, especially under ice cream machine, soda dispensers in the back, and equipment, are unclean and need to be cleaned.
THE BACK PORCH FOOD TRUCK mobile, 5501 Middle Warren Road. Date of inspection Nov. 16. Not in operation during time of inspection. Facility lacks refrigerator thermometer. Food temperature measuring device shall be provided and readily accessible for use in ensuring attainment and maintenance of food temperature. Inside of refrigerator needs to be cleaned out before next use.
THE WILMA CENTER, 4701 Dollarway Road, White Hall. Date of inspection Nov. 16. Hand-washing (sink) needs to repaired. A hand-washing sink shall be maintained so that it is accessible at all times for employee use, and do not use for purposes other than hand-washing. Observed missing ceiling tiles. Corrective Action: The PHYSICAL FACILITIES shall be maintained in good repair. No current health permit posted. BLAKE STREET FISH MARKET, 1130 S. Blake St. Date of inspection Dec. 1. Observed seasoning in bulk containers not labeled. Food packaged in Retail Food Establishment shall be labeled as specified in law. Cutting boards should be resurfaced or replaced. Front three compartment sink is unclean and needs to be cleaned. Outside of fryer equipment, refrigerator, and shelving throughout kitchen are unclean and need to be cleaned. Observed trash cans containing food residue uncovered while not in continuous use. Trash cans in kitchen area containing food residue need to be covered when not in continuous use. Floors, walls, and ceilings throughout kitchen are unclean and need to be cleaned. Floors throughout kitchen, walls, especially near front door and by back door, and ceiling throughout kitchen are damaged and need to be repaired. Vent hood is unclean and needs to be cleaned.
