Meeting set on school-merger study
A community meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at the Pine Bluff Convention Center. The purpose is to discuss the School Consolidation Study regarding Dollarway, Pine Bluff and Watson Chapel school districts, according to a news release. Go Forward Pine Bluff is sponsoring the gathering, a spokesman said.
Urban renewal board to convene
The Pine Bluff Urban Renewal Agency (PBURA) will hold a called board meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Building, 211 W. Third Ave. The meeting will be held in training rooms A and B. Masks and social distancing are required. Pine Bluff police set drive-thru treat

The Pine Bluff Police Department will host a free Fall Festival Scavenger Hunt from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at drive-thru treat stations.
Youth should stop by each location for a treat. Clues to each treat are provided on the police department’s Face-book page or parents can get a postcard from the schools or contact the department at 870-730-2086.
The locations will be drive-thru treat stations and participants must remain in their vehicles, according to a news release.
Sponsors include Walmart, Red Lobster, Super 1 Foods and the city of Pine Bluff.
