Discounted, free meals at Dianne’s
Dianne’s Adult Health Daycare Center, 601 Ohio St., is sponsoring the USDA Food Program. Meals will be available free or at a reduced charge for participants enrolled at Dianne’s.
For example, for free meals, for a household of one, the annual income is $16,588. For reduced-priced meals, for a household of one, the annual income is $23,606, according to a news release.

to announce gift
The Pine Bluff Educational Endowment Inc. will make an announcement benefiting senior high school students in Jefferson County at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the 601 Main Street Plaza. The agency will announce a donation from Simmons First Foundation to The Generator, an initiative of Go Forward Pine Bluff, according to a news release. Masks will be required and social distancing will be observed at the news conference. In the event of inclement weather, an alternate location will be announced.
Reduced-price, free meals offered
The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) Child Development Center will make meals available free or at a reduced charge for enrolled children who participate in the Arkansas Food and Nutrition Program.

Parent/teacher meetings virtual
Pine Bluff School District will host Virtual Parent/Teacher Conferences on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 1-2. K-12 students won’t report to campus on these days which will be virtual learning days for all students, according to a news release. Details will be posted on the district website as well as other district social media platforms. Parents may contact their children’s teachers or schools for additional information.
