The Jefferson County Board of Election Commissioners will hold an election day meeting beginning at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6.
The commission will remain in session until unofficial election results are announced at the election center, 123 Main St., at approximately 10:30 p.m. In the event commissioners are required to make a decision requiring a vote while the polls are open, it will be at the election center, according to a news release.
Commissioners remind voters they can vote for the candidate of their choice, regardless of which primary ballot they voted and they are encouraged to familiarize themselves with election issues 2, 4 and 5.
The Board of Election Commissioners will hold a regular meeting Wednesday, Nov. 7. The agenda includes approving minutes from the Oct. 2 meeting, correct Sept. 26 meeting minutes, adjudicate any questionable or provisional absentee ballots, adjudicate any provisional ballots, review election day problems and complaints if applicable, approve payment of any bills.
