Retired federal employees to meet

The National Association of Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Chapter 287 monthly meeting will be at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, April 23, at the Reynolds Building. The program speaker will be Waymond Meins, Legislative Chairman for Chapter 287.

He will discuss pending congressional legislation affecting current federal employees, retirees and the U.S. Postal service retirees.

The 63rd NARFE Federation Convention will be May 17 and 18 at the Arkansas 4-H Center in Little Rock.. The special guest from the NARFE national office will be James Marshall, Deputy Director, Federal Benefits Institute.

Banquet Speaker will be David Ware, Arkansas Capitol Historian and his topic will be the evolvement of the Arkansas Capitol building. Delegates from Chapter 287 are Linda Murray, State Membership Chairman, Waymond Meins, Federation At-Large Member, Delores Kelley, Secretary, Joyce Johnson, Sunshine Chairman, Brenda Robinson, Door Prize Liaison, Billie Minton, President Chapter 287. Barbara Miller, Treasurer is a Delegate Alternate.
