The Epsilon Zeta Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. will honor 14 retired educators during their 30th annual Finer Womanhood Observance Banquet.
The ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at the Pine Bluff Convention Center Banquet Hall.
The theme will be “Recognizing Dedicated Service to Education.”
The 2018 honorees are Patricia Amos, Mary E. Benjamin, Ellis Berry, Carolyn F. Blakely, Rosie Clayton, Lazenie Collins, Virginia A. Hymes, George Herts, Shirley Portis, Earsline Turner, Rose Vaughan, Rosa Wilburn, Walter Wilburn and Brenda Williams.
“Honoring these classroom professionals/administrators has been a major project of the sorority for 30 years, having been conceived by sorority member, Dr. Sharon Fletcher,” according to a news release.
Members of the Finer Womanhood Banquet Committee are Mary Liddell, Lula Gray and Genevia Thomas. Anissa E. Buckner is the president of the Epsilon Zeta Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.
