Jefferson Regional Medical Center is offering another free, six-week diabetes class entitled DEEP — Diabetes Empowerment Education Program.
The class will be held from 10–11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, and will continue to meet each Thursday at JRMC for six weeks.
Individuals with diabetes or pre-diabetes will learn how the disease affects the body, how to monitor and understand blood sugar numbers and how to shop and cook in a healthier manner.
