Tickets are still available at the Pine Bluff Regional Chamber and may also be purchased at the door for the 64th annual Farmers Appreciation Fish Fry. The event begins at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at Hestand Stadium.
The community is invited to join the Chamber as they honor the 2015 Jefferson County Farm Family of the Year — the Steve Pharr family — and Jefferson County’s agribusiness and farming industries.
“To make this event more fun for kids of all ages, we’ve again added extra attractions, including miniature pony rides and a display of ‘creatures’ from the Delta Rivers Nature Center,” a spokesman said. “So bring the kids and plan to ‘eat in’ this year.”
The event will be held from 5-7 p.m. at Hestand Stadium arena. Catfish dinners catered by King Kat will be served from 5:30 to 7 p.m. More than 60 Chamber volunteers expect to serve more than 800 dinners. Carry-out meals will be available or ticket holders can dine at the stadium.
Matt Alstadt of Greenway Equipment Inc., is the fish fry event chairman. Team captains are Roy Ferrell of Simmons Bank; Teresa McMillan of Planters Cotton Oil Mill Inc.; Rick Pierce of Simmons Bank; Shannon Morgan of Simmons Bank; and Shannon Smith of ServiceMaster by Smith.
Tickets for the dinner are $15 and may be purchased at the Chamber, 510 Main St. Details: Mandy Owens, 535-0110, or mowens@pinebluffchamber.com
