A $5,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff woman who allegedly threatened another woman with a knife Saturday.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Debra Pierce with aggravated assault.
Pierce, 55, was arrested after police were called to the 2100 block of East Pullen Street in response to a reported disturbance.
Deputy Prosecutor Carol Billings said during a court hearing Monday that the alleged victim told police her grandchildren had called her and said Pierce was “yelling and cursing” at them and allegedly said she was “going to shoot them.”
Detective Chris Wieland said in a probable cause affidavit that the alleged victim said she and Pierce got into an argument and Pierce walked into her house and came out with a knife that she allegedly pointed at the victim.
Pierce, who said she would hire her own attorney, was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim until the case is settled.
