Jefferson County Judge Dutch King has issued a burn ban for all of Jefferson County, effective immediately. It will continue until further notice.
In the notice Monday morning, King said, “due to the extreme temperatures and lack of needed precipitation, dry conditions exist all over Jefferson County.
“This increases the level of fire danger tremendously,” King said in the notice. “It is with this in mind that a burn ban has been issued for all of Jefferson County, including the cities of Pine Bluff, White Hall, Humphrey, Sherill, Altheimer, Wabbaseka and Redfield.”
