Articles published Tuesday and Wednesday about the Pine Bluff School District did not include all possible options related to a proposed consolidation of schools at the mid-grade level.
One option is to send ninth-graders to Pine Bluff High School; send all sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders from Southeast Middle School and Belair Middle School to the Jack Robey School as one combined school; and close the Southeast and Belair buildings.
A second option is to close the Southeast building; send all fifth- and sixth-graders to Belair; send all seventh- and eighth-graders to a Southeast/Jack Robey school at the current Robey building; and send ninth-graders to Pine Bluff High School.
A third option is to close the Southeast building; make two middle schools consisting of sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders: one at Belair and one at Southeast/Jack Robey school at the current Robey building; and send ninth-graders to Pine Bluff High School.
