The revenue collected by the Jefferson County Recycling Department includes money received from tire processing and from grant funds.
Daniel Marks, legislative assistant to County Judge Dutch King said the revenue currently collected from the sale of recyclable materials is the smallest revenue source in the department but is growing and will continue to do so.
