The roads that were repaired by the Jefferson County Road Department were as follows:
Sept. 12
– Patching Crew: Filled potholes on Jim Ford Road.
– Culvert Crew: Pulled a driveway pipe on Nichols Road. Installed a ceiling joist at the new e-waste facility.
– Truck Driver: Hauled SB2 from Little Rock to the Jefferson County Road Department.

– Boom Mower Crew: Cut right of way on Kearney Road, Jim Ford Road and Townsend Road.
Sept. 15
– Culvert Crew: Installed a 24-inch by 30-foot cross drain pipe on North Pack Road and covered it with 12 yards of SB2.
– Set Up Crew: Laid a chip and seal surface on Wilbur West Road.
– Truck Driver: Hauled B-stone and C-ballast to Fluke Kelly Road.
– Grader Operator: Graded Fluke Kelly Road and spread 24 yards of B-stone and 12 yards of C-ballast on the road. Graded North Pack Road, Pointer Road, Wright Road and McGaughy Road.
– Tiger Mower: Cut weeds and bushes at the Jefferson County fairgrounds.
– Sign Shop: Made and put up a road sign on Jessica Drive. Worked in the sign shop making signs for Hestand Stadium.
Sept. 16
– Culvert Crew: Installed a 15-inch by 24-foot driveway culvert on Wilderness Road and an 18-inch by 24-foot culvert on Sulphur Springs Road and covered it with 18 tons of SB2.
– Set Up Crew: Put a chip and seal surface on Wilbur West Road and parking lot at the park on Sulphur Springs Road.
– Truck Driver: Hauled SB2 to Wilderness Road and Sulphur Springs Park. Hauled sealing chips to Wilbur West Road and Sulphur Springs Road.
– Grade Operator: Graded Deep Bayou Road, Potpouri Road, McDonley Road, Altheimer East Road and Wilson Road.
– Boom Mower: Cut grass at Hestand Stadium. Cut grass and trimmed trees on Jim Ford Road and Vaugine Road.
– Tiger Mower: Cut weeds and bushes on Clemons Road.
– Sign shop: Repaired the road sign and stop sign on Church Street in Tucker. Put “men working” signs up on Sulphur Springs Road. Finished the day working in the sign shop making signs.
– Environmental Officer; Worked with a constituent to get a trashy yard cleaned up.
Sept. 17
– Set Up Crew: Continued working on the parking lot at the park on Sulphur Springs Road.
– Truck Driver: Haled C-ballast and SB2 to the Jefferson County Road Department.
– Grader Operator: Graded Hooker Road, Celia Road, Jed Road and Cantrell Road.
– Boom Mower: Cut grass and cleaned up around Hestand Stadium.
– Tiger Mower: Cut weeds and bushes on Clemmons Road.
– Environmental Officer: Checked for illegal dumping on county roads. Also shut down logging operations until they are bonded.
Sept. 18
– Culvert Crew: Installed an 18-inch by 20-foot driveway culvert on Longbell Road and covered it with 20 yards of dirt, 12 yards of B-stone and 12-yards of SB2.
– Set Up Crew: Completed overlaying the parking lot at the park on Sulphur Springs Road
– Truck Driver: Hauled B-stone, SB2 and dirt to Longbell Road.
– Boom Mower: Cut right of way on Budwood Road, Cecilwood Road and Cherrywood Road.
– Sign Shop: “Men Working” signs were put up on Sulphur Springs Road and put a road sign and stop sign on Lon Hamilton Road. Checked U.S. Highway 79 for signs and worked in the sign shop the rest of the day.
Jefferson County Recycling Department
– Brought in four tire boxes, five cardboard boxes, four newspaper boxes, one plastic box and four trash boxes.
– Brought three trash trailers in, sent three trash trailers out.
– Jefferson County brought in 19.32 tons of tires. Get Rid of It/Waste Management brought in 67.16 tons of tires.
– Continued operation of the new recycling facility at the new operating hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
