Jefferson County Road Department and Recycling Report

The roads that were repaired by the Jefferson County Road Department were as follows:

Aug. 22

– Truck Driver: Hauled sealing chip to Wilderness Road.

– Grader Operator: Graded Noble Lake Road and Acorn Road.

– Ditching Crew: Cleaned out ditches in Humphrey.

– Boom Mower Crew: Cut right of way on G. L. Davis Road and mowed around.

– Tiger Mower: Cut grass and bushes on Cantrell Road and Belmont Road.

– Sign Shop: Cut limbs on Mockingbird Drive, Hillview Drive, Lark Drive, Oriole Ave., Hillside Drive. Put barrels out on Samuel Road.

– Environmental Officer: Worked with constituent to get a trashy yard cleaned up.

Aug. 23

– Patching Crew: Filled potholes on Mitchell Road and Ramick Road.

– Grader Operator: Graded Swan Lake Recreational Road.

Aug. 25

– Patching Crew: Filled potholes on Morgan Road, Mockingbird Lane, Oriole Ave., Hillside Drive, Hazelwood Drive, Lark Drive and Rob Roy Road.

– Set Up Crew: Cut out soft spot and spread SB2 on Divoky Road.

– Truck Driver: Delivered one load of C-ballast to “Reydell Road and Cornerstone Road.

– Grader Operator: Graded Reydell Road and put a load of C-ballast on Reydell Road and Cornerstone Road. Graded Wilbur West Road.

– Boom Mower: Cut right of way on Murdock Road.

– Tiger Mower: Cut grass and bushes on Earl Chadick Road.

Aug. 26

– Patching Crew: Filled potholes on Morgan Road, Quattlebaum East End, Blue Jay Drive, Hardin Road North and Ashley Road with cold mix.

– Set Up Crew: Ground up Wilbur West Road to be resurfaced at a later date.

– Culvert Crew: Installed a 12-foot by 20-foot driveway culvert on Shannon Road and a 15-foot by 12-foot pipe on Henderson Road to extend the existing driveway culvert and covered them with 15 yards of SB2.

– Truck Driver: Hauled two loads of SB2 to Kotchel Road to spread on the road and 15 yards of SB2 to Henderson Road to cover culvert.

– Grader Operator: Graded Florine Road and Graded Kotchen Road and spread two loads of SB2 on the road.

– Boom Mower: Cut right of way on Fallis Roads and Fallis Lake Road.

– Tiger Mower: Cut grass and bushes in the ditches on Winston Road.

– Sign Shop: Patched Morgan Road and put a sign up on Ussery Road to close the road for the installation of a cross drain pipe. Also closed bridge on Jeter Road. Picked up barrels on Pinebergen Road after the road was repaired.

Aug. 27

– Culvert Crew: Put a 24-foot by 40-foot cross drain pipe on Ussery Road and covered it with 20 tons of SB2.

– Set Up Crew: Continued the work on Wilbur West Road.

– Truck Driver: Hauled 20 tons of SB2 to Ussery Road.

– Grader Operator: Graded Townsend Road, Cornerstone Road and Swan Lake Recreational Road.

– Boom Mower: Cut right of way on Farm Lane and Earl Chadick Road.

– Tiger Mower: Cut grass and bushes on Moscow Store Road.

– Sign Shop: Put stop sign on Gaddy Koonce Road.

Aug. 28

– Patching Crew: Patched potholes around Wabbaseka Park and Lee Springs Road. Put SB2 on Brunetti Road.

– Truck Driver: Hauled dirt to Hestand Stadium and SB2 to Brunetti Road.

– Grader Operator: Graded Morgan Road, Hooker Road and Ferda Road.

– Tiger Mower: Mowed at E-waste center, Wabbaseka Park, Townsend Road.

– Sign Shop: Installed a sign at T-Lane.

– Ditching Crew: Installed pipe on Shannon Petty Road.

– Mosquito Spraying: Sprayed around Wabbaseka park.

– Environmental Officer: Checked Jefferson County Roads for illegal dumping and picked up parts.

Jefferson County Recycling Report

– Brought in five tire boxes, three cardboard boxes, two trash boxes.

– Brought three trash trailers in, sent three trash trailers out.

– Jefferson County brought in 18.54 tons of tires. Get Rid of It/Waste Management brought in 56.56 tons of tires.

– Continued operating the new recycling facility.

– Held a recycling educational/promotional event at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Child Development Center.
