Jefferson County Road Department and Recycling Report

The roads that were repaired by the Jefferson County Road Department were as follows:

April 25

• Patching Crew: Filled potholes on Luckie Road with cold mix.

• Truck Drivers: Hauled SB2 from Little Rock to Baugh Road, Carter Road, Eades Road and Wishbone Farm Road.

• Grader Operators: Graded Lee Berry Road, North and South Sassafras Road, Crain Cove, Tobe Road, Arabian Drive, Natalie Road, McCoy Road, Chandler Road, Aarowhead Drive and Kimmel Road. Graded Baugh Road and spread one load of SB2 on the road. Graded Carter Road and spread one load of SB2 on the road. Graded Eades Road and spread two loads of SB2 on the road. Graded Wishbond Farm Road and spread one load of SB2 on the road.

• Boom Mower Crew: Cut right of way on Reba Lane, Serenity Lane and Pinebergen Road.

• Sign Shop: Took “Fresh Oil” signs to North McKinney Road. Put “slow, Children at Play” sign on Luckie Road. Put yield signs on Tamo River Road. Picked up barrels on Sorrells Road and put a road sign on Celia Road and Abernathy Road.

April 26

• Patched potholes on Lee Springs Road, Camden Cutoff Road, Rogers Road, Dyson Road and Jim Ford Road. Removed a tree on Lee Springs Road. Put road signs on Whiteaker Road and Highway 54.

April 28

• Boom Mower Crew: Cut right of way on Old Star City Road.

• Ditching Crew: Cleaned out ditches on North Pack Road.

April 29

• Patching Crew: Filled potholes on Wheeler Chapel Road, Jason Drive and Hannaberry Lake Road.

• Culvert Crew: Cleaned out culverts on Camden Cut Off Road, Wingard Road, Winston Road and Princeton Pike. Installed a 60-foot by 24-foot drain pipe on East Altheimer Road and covered it with 15 yards of SB2.

• Truck Drivers: Hauled SB2 from Little Rock to Cantrell Road and East Altheimer Road.

• Grader Operators: Graded Pointer Road and McDonley Road. Graded Cantrell Road and spread 40 yards of SB2 on the road.

• Boom Mower Crew: Cut grass in the ditches on Atkins Lake Road, Celia Road and Earl Chadick Road.

April 30

• Grader Operators: Graded Collier Lee Road, Harvey Road, Altheimer Cemetery Road, Wabbaseka Cemetery Road, Bennett Road, Griderfield Road, Walton Road and Wright Road.

• Ditching Crew: Cleaned out ditches on Hargis Road and Evans Road. Picked up trash on Lee Springs Road. Removed beaver dams on Hardin Reed Road, Huntley Trail and East Lake Drive.

• Boom Mower Crew: Cut right of way on Stewart Road, Jacks Road, Curtis Road and Dogwood Forrest Road.

May 1

• Patching Crew: Filled potholes on Hazelwood Road and Hannaberry Lake Road with cold mix.

• Truck Drivers: Hauled one load of hot mix to Hazelwood Road and hauled SB2 to Horn Drive.

• Grader Operators: Graded Watkins Road. Graded Horn Drive and spread sB2 on the road.

• Boom Mower Crew: Cut grass and debris under the bridge on Altheimer East Road.

Jefferson County Recycling Report

• Brought in five tire boxes, three cardboard boxes, two trash boxes.

• Brought three trash trailers in. sent three trash trailers out.

• Jefferson County brought in 37.25 tons of tires. Get Rid of It/Waste Management brought in 22.51 tons of tires.

• Continued progress on the new Recycling facility

• Continued to operate the facility at 1600 Pennsylvania.

• Participated in the 175th anniversary celebration and parade including providing garbage bins and barrels for trash collection as well as a flat-bed trailer.

• Picked up materials from Belair and Quest middle schools.

• Had a booth to distribute educational and promotional materials at Business Expo.
