Two people received non-life threatening injuries after a one-vehicle traffic accident on East Fifth Avenue Saturday afternoon, police said.
The accident was reported at about 2:15 p.m. just west of Pennsylvania Street and electrical power was knocked out to the area after the vehicle clipped a utility pole, sending the line into trees where it sparked and caught fire.
A Pine Bluff Fire and Emergency Services Department truck was called to put out the blaze and police blocked off Pennsylvania and Ohio streets for a period of time while utility workers worked to restore power.
No further details were immediately available.
