A story that ran Tuesday incorrectly stated that attorneys for David Schimmel worked out a plea agreement with the state before Schimmel pleaded guilty to charges of stealing almost $100,000 from St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery and the Knights of Columbus.
There was no plea agreement. After Schimmel pleaded guilty, he was sentenced by Circuit Judge Berlin C. Jones.
