Cherry Hill Missionary Baptist Church at Moscow will begin celebrating its sixth pastoral anniversary Friday with Ministers’ Night at 7 p.m. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Curtis Smith of Belmont Baptist Church at Moscow.

Marzell Missionary Baptist Church at Tamo will celebrate the anniversary of its pastor and wife, Rev. and Mrs. Lamar Brooks at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. J.L. Morton, pastor of Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church at Dumas.

Newbirth Baptist Church, 401 E. Fifth Ave., will host its seventh church anniversary celebration and deacon ordination service for Bruce White Jr., Edward Belcher and Willie Williams at 3 p.m. Sunday.

The sermon will be by the Rev. Kevin Rodgers, pastor of Covenant Baptist Church at Lancaster, Texas.

First Missionary Baptist Church, 4500 Faucett Road, will hold its annual choir anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. William B. Fields, pastor of Pilgrim Valley Baptist Church at Little Rock.

Westside Missionary Baptist Church at Star City will celebrate its 60th church anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The sermon will be by the Rev. James Williams, pastor of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church at Dumas.

Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church at Dumas will hold its church anniversary service at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Jimmy Polk, pastor of Jefferson Chapel Church at Hooker and Rankin Chapel Church at Gould.

Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, Noble Lake community, will celebrate the anniversary of the pastor and wife, Rev. and Mrs. George H. Toney III, at 3 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. G.L. Sanders, pastor of McGehee Chapel Church at McGehee, will be the guest preacher.

First Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer will hold its choir anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Aaron Barnes, pastor of New Home Missionary Baptist Church.

Concerts/Musicals

The 52nd annual musical celebration honoring The Williams Singers of Pine Bluff will begin at 6:30 p.m. today at Family Time Baptist Church, 501 Ohio St.

At 6 p.m. Sunday, the Williams’ celebration will be held at Greater Fellowship Ministries, 2401 S. Old Main St., and special guests will the Gospel Legends of North Carolina and Minister Terrell Rodgers and Men of Destiny of Blytheville. Other guests include the Spiritualettes, Kendrick Williams Jr., Dedric Jones ad Shaw Boyz. Tickets for Sunday’s event will be $15 in advance and $18 at the door after 6 p.m. Today’s event is free.

Revival

True Vine “E” Missionary Baptist Church, 1001 W. Second Ave., will host its annual spring revival Wednesday through Friday at 7 nightly. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Robert Willis Sr., pastor of Amos Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

Mount Pleasant AME Church, 1201 N. Magnolia St., will hold a “Stop the Violence” Revival Wednesday through Friday at 6:30 nightly.

The speakers for the week will be Rev. Kenneth Banks of Tyree Temple AME Church at Dumas, Rev. Larry Johnson of Fellowship Baptist Church at Little Rock, and Rev. Benny “Big Ben” Johnson, founder of “Stop the Violence Ministries” at Little Rock.

Seven Star and Bailey Chapel Missionary Baptist churches will host a joint revival Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Seven Star Missionary Baptist Church at Reed. The guest evangelist will be Rev. Timothy Ramey, pastor of St. John Missionary Baptist Church at Mitchellville.

St. Andrew A.M.E. Church, 701 Franklin St., will hold its spring revival services Wednesday through Friday starting with praise services at 6:30 p.m. and worship at 7 p.m. The Rev. Kent Broughton Sr., pastor of St. James AME Church at Warren, will be the guest preacher.

Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, 900 Grant St., will hold its revival services Wednesday through Friday at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. S. Shaw of New Faith Baptist Church will be the guest evangelist.

Mulberry Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 719 Ohio St., will hold its annual ushers program at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. John Farris, pastor of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church at Faith.

True Vine “E” Missionary Baptist Church, 1001 W. Second Ave., will hold its Bridging the Gap program at 7 p.m. Sunday. The sermon will be the by the Rev. Accie Reynolds Jr., pastor of First Baptist Church at Ladd.

Moments of Truth Evangelistic Ministries, 116 Plum St., will honor Latrenda Bolton for services to the community at 11 a.m. Sunday. The sermon will be by the pastor, Clarence Peacock.

Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church at Cornerstone will hold its second annual spring conference a 9 a.m. today.

Amos Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 2401 Port Road, will hold the annual birthday celebration honoring Rev. Robert Willis Jr. at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Timothy Jones of Bethlehem Worship Center at Dumas.

Grace and Mercy Missionary Baptist Church, 817 W. Sixth Ave., will hold its deacon ordination service for Alvin C. Lee at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Carl Williams, pastor of Smith Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

New St. James Baptist Church, 3301 S. Fir St., will hold its 100 Women in Red at 3 p.m. Sunday. Shaunder Williams, the first lady of Living Word Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Church of the Living God, 3120 Gravel Pit Road, will honor its associate pastor and wife, Elder Kenneth and Kymberly Edwards, at 3 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Jesse Jackson Jr., pastor of Rose Hill Baptist Church at Meroney, will be the guest preacher.

New Cheek Chapel AME Church at Sherrill will celebrate its Black History/Founders Day program at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. H. O. Gray.

St. Peter and St. Raphael Catholic Communities and Rev. Father Anil Thomas will hold the consecration of a new altar at St. Peter Catholic Church, 16th Avenue and State Street, at 11 a.m. March 24. The main celebrant will be Bishop Anthony Taylor of the Diocese at Little Rock.

Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church, 2915 S. Main St, will hold its installation of officers at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Accie Reynolds, pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church at Ladd.

Joy Community Church, 2101 E. Sixth Ave., will hold its 16th annual women’s conference today and 4 p.m. Sunday. At 11 a.m. today, Joy Community will host a prayer brunch. There is a $12 registration fee.

The Central District Baptist Association Laymen’s Department will host a workshop for laymen and deacons at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Peter’s Rock Baptist Church, 12th Avenue and Catalpa Street.

Jihad Muhammad, a prison reform minister and community activist, will be the guest speaker at Ezekiel Missionary Baptist Church, 121 Martin St., at 11 a.m. Sunday.

Jerusalem No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer will observe its Men’s and Women’s day at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The sermon will be by the Rev. E. Harris, pastor of Greater Battle Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer.

First Baptist Church at Dew Drop, 1117 N. Bryant St., will hold its Women’s Day celebration at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Emma Lever of First Trinity Church of God in Christ.

New Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 3800 Fir St., will hold its annual Men’s Day at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Rev. Donald Agee, pastor of New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church will bring the message.
