New Morning Star Baptist Church at Cornerstone will celebrate the sixth appreciation service, honoring its pastor and wife, Willie J. Laws Sr. and Donna Laws, on Sunday.

At 11 a.m., the guest preacher will be the Rev. Carl Gardner, associate minister at Newbirth Baptist Church.

The Rev. Terry Brown, pastor of Newbirth Baptist Church, will be the guest preacher at 2:30 p.m.

The 24th anniversary celebration honoring Apostle Larry Nance Sr. and Minister Mary Nance will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Sunday at True Worshippers Apostolic Church.

The guest preacher will be Delois Purley, pastor of Full Gospel Apostolic Church at DeWitt.

Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, 5302 W. 13th Ave., will celebrate its 18th pastor and wife’s anniversary honoring Elder Hayward M. Battle Sr. and Evangelist Mamie Ruth Battle on today and Sunday.

Today at 7 p.m., Faith Temple will honor its first lady. The guest speaker will be Missionary Wanda Jean Jones of Kingdom Builders Outreach Church of God in Christ.

At 3 p.m. Sunday the guest preacher will be Elder Willie James Brown, pastor of Barnes Temple Church of God in Christ.

The fifth anniversary program honoring pastor and wife, Rev. and Mrs. Jimmy Ray Bynum, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Auburn Missionary Baptist Church at Gould.

The guest preacher will be the Rev. Lamar Brooks, pastor of Marzell Missionary Baptist Church at Tamo.

Antioch Missionary Baptist Church at Sherrill will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its pastor and wife, Rev. Robert Watson and Geraldine Watson at 3 p.m. Sunday.

The guest preacher will be the Rev. Clark Thomas, pastor of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church at Sherrill.

Hosanna Christian Church will celebrate the 9th appreciation of its pastor, Rev. Louis Ross, and co-pastor, Rev. Jacqueline Ross, on today and Sunday.

The banquet will be held at 4 p.m. today at Greater Fellowship Ministry, 2401 S. Main St. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Frederick Anthony, pastor of Old St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church at West Memphis. Tickets are not required.

The appreciation program will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Greater Fellowship Ministry.

Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church at Gould will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its pastor, Rev. John Spicer, and family on beginning at 11:30 a.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Reginald Adams, associate minister of New St. Hurricane Missionary Baptist Church.

At 2:30 p.m., the guest preacher will be Rev. Lorenzo Jones, pastor of New St. Hurricane Missionary Baptist Church.

Belmont Missionary Baptist Church at Moscow will hold the fourth anniversary celebration honoring the Rev. Curtis Smith and Gloria Smith on today and Sunday.

At 6 p.m. today the guest preacher will be Rev. Johnny Smith Jr., pastor of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church at Pine Bluff.

The Rev. T.R. Ramey, pastor of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, will deliver the sermon Sunday at the 3 p.m. anniversary celebration.

St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1404 S. Georgia St., will celebrate the third anniversary honoring its pastor, Rev. Steven King, and family on March 11.

Rev. Andrew Bates will be the guest preacher at the 10:15 a.m. service.

The Soul Revivals will be in concert today at 6 p.m. at Cherry Street AME Zion Church, Eighth Avenue and Cherry Street.

Revivals

New Jericho Missionary Baptist Church, 1600 N. Lindell St., will hold its revival services Wednesday through Friday at 7 p.m. nightly.

The guest preacher will be the Rev. Joe Scott, pastor of New Jerusalem No. 2.

Antioch Missionary Baptist Church at Dermott will hold its spring revival Monday through Friday.

The guest evangelist will be Rev. Alvin Newburn, pastor of Polk Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at Yorktown.

A fish fry fundraiser for Raven Williams and Aleah White will be held at Timothy Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 1304 S. Apple St., beginning at 11 a.m. today.

Raven Williams and Aleah White will represent Timothy Chapel and Consolidated St. Marion District youth choir at St. Louis on June 18-23. The dinner is $7.50.

First Southern Baptist Church at Sheridan will hold a spaghetti dinner at 5 p.m. today. Pardoned and the Dickerson Family will be featured at 7 p.m., following the dinner.

Seven Star Missionary Baptist Church at Reed will hold its annual Men’s Day program at 3 p.m. Sunday.

The guest preacher will be Elder Timothy Jones, pastor of Bethlehem Worship Center Church at Dumas.

Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 8523 Princeton Pike Road, will hold its annual Men’s Day at 3 p.m. Sunday.

The guest preacher will be the Rev. Reginald Cleaver of St. Luke AME Church.

Main Street Church of God in Christ, 2901 S. Main St., will hold its annual Men’s Day program at 11 a.m. Sunday.

Youth

Barraque Street Missionary Baptist Church, 1800 W. Pullen St., will host its second annual Youth Summit on March 10. Registration will be from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m. Group sessions will follow from 9:30 a.m .to 2:30 p.m.

The targeted group is for youth to young adults from 6 years to 21 years of age.

Lunch will be provided and registration is free.

Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 2507 Hill St., will present the second series of youth seminars today from 10 a.m. to noon.
