Concerts/Musicals
The Mighty Truelights and the White Singers will be singing at the International House of Prayer, 4106 W. 12th Ave., at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Grapevine Church of God in Christ at Grapevine will hold revival service Sunday through Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. The evangelists will be Gail Stith, Barbara Deloney and Lavita Vincent, a guest from Hemphill, Texas.

St. Luke AME Church, 9908 Princeton Pike Road, will hold its Ash Wednesday service at 7 p.m. Wednesday and the guest preacher will be the Rev. Byron Miller of Benton. Lenten Revival will continue Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m.
Morris Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at Sherrill will be presenting the Teen Challenge Women Ministry featuring special guests Voices of Victory from Russellville at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Old Morning Star Baptist Church, 3116 Port Road, will hold its annual Black History program at 11 a.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Fitz Hill, president of Arkansas Baptist College.
Old St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 1305 W. 16th Ave., will hold its Black History service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Sunday featuring youth performing skits highlighting famous black people.
Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church at Varner will celebrate African American Women in History and Culture at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Alvin Newburn, pastor of Polk Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at Yorktown.
Ordination service for Rev. Alfred Carroll Sr., associate minister at Greater Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 3700 W. 13th Ave., will be at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be Rev. Marion Humphrey, pastor of Allison Memorial Presbyterian Church at Little Rock.
New Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, 500 Bois D’arc St., will hold its annual Deacons on Fire program at 3 p.m. Speakers will include Hilton Manuel of New St. Hurricane Church, Jimmie Handley of Rose Hill Church, Larry Jones of Highland Church, Leviorn Harris of Union Baptist Church, Robert Iverson of Damascus Church; and Jessie Toston and Wayne Stewart of New Bethlehem Church.
Main Street Church of God in Christ, 2901 Main St., will hold its annual Black History observance at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The speaker will be Michelle Heard, Main Street’s education committee and music department president. The program will also include singing, poetry readings and a Black History Exhibit.
Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 2507 Hill St., will present a series of youth seminars beginning Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. Other seminar dates are March 3, March 17, and March 31. Topics will include peer pressure/bullying and relationships.

Belmont Missionary Baptist Church at Moscow will hold its Black History celebration at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. James Spinks, pastor of Brooks Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at Monticello.
The Rev. Rickey Armstrong of Miami, Fla., will speak at New Fellowship Baptist Church, 17th Avenue and Cypress Street, at 9 a.m. Sunday. Armstrong is a missionary professor in Malawi, Africa, where he has planted two Bible schools for pastors. He is married to Tobiper Armstrong and he began his ministry in Altheimer in 1975.
Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer will hold its Black History program at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Lloyd Holcomb, pastor of Barraque Street Missionary Baptist Church.

Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church at Grady will observe Black History month at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Victor Dolls, pastor of Pine Street Baptist Church at Star City and St. Peters Baptist Church at Montrose. Musical guests include Esther Knox, Lee Tenseley and Heavenly Hearts.
Barnett Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 1321 N. Birch St., will hold its annual mission program at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Felton Thornton, pastor of Daniel Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at Grady.
The pastor’s aide group of There Is Hope Church of God in Christ will host a sweetheart banquet at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 412 W. Sixth Ave., Feb. 25 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for couples, $10 for singles and can be purchased at the door.
Shirley Sanders, bishop of Greater Deliverance Ministries, will hold Prophetic Summit 2012 at 7 p.m. Thursday through Feb. 25 at the Ramada Plaza Hotel, 2 Convention Center Drive. At 9 a.m. Feb. 25, the speaker will be Victoria Walker of City of Deliverance International Ministries at Lithonia, Ga. At 7 p.m. that day, a praise celebration will include the Paul and Silas Mass Choir.

Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer youth department will host its Valentine Social from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Martin Elementary School Cafeteria at Altheimer. Admission is $5 and semiformal attire is required.
Old St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 1305 W. 16th Ave., will hold its youth praise extravaganza at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Guests will include praise dancers from Old St. James, Victory Faith Church, St. James United Methodist Church and the Webster Family and choirs from Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer and New Salem Missionary Baptist Church at Sherrill.
Eighth Avenue Missionary Baptist Church, 1200 W. Eighth Ave., youth department will host its African American History month at 3 p.m. Sunday. The program will include poetry readings, famous quotations, and special presentation, “Granny Knows” play by a local play writer.
