New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church at Cornerstone will celebrate its 130th church anniversary at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
The guest preacher will be the Rev. Anthony Craig Sr., pastor of Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church.

Main Street Church of God in Christ, 2901 Main St., will hold its pre-Valentine’s musical extravaganza at 6 p.m. Feb. 11. Special guests include Dedric Jones and Chosen, Sheryl Banks and Co., Nichole “Nikki” Thrower, Shaw Boyz, Christy Davis and others.

Revival
Leo R. Franklin, a prophet, will be the guest preacher in a revival service at 7 p.m. Sunday at Truth and Love Worship Center Church of God in Christ, 2006 W. 13th Ave.
Special Events
An appreciation program honoring the pastor’s wife, Janice Jackson, will be celebrated at 6 p.m. Saturday at Timothy Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 1304 S. Apple St. The special guests will be the Hearts of Praise, Mighty Truelights, and the Jacksonaries of Star City.
Union Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, 1121 S. Permission St., will observe its Go Red Women’s Heart Health at 11 a.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Patricia Washington, a nurse at Jefferson Comprehensive Care System Inc.
Cherry Street AME Zion Church, Eighth Avenue and Cherry Street, will hold its annual Gospel music fellowship at 6 p.m. Saturday. The guests will include KCAT Caravan, Mighty Gospelettes, Gospel Messengers of Fairfield, Spiritualettes and Lyna Johnson.
Auburn Missionary Baptist Church at Gould will celebrate its annual Black History service at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Living Word Baptist Church, 5617 Sulphur Spring Road, will hold its first Sunday service at 11 a.m. Sunday. The pastor, Rev. Terrance Williams, will bring the sermon.
Bethel New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 2522 N. Pryce St., will hold its communion service at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church at Grady will hold its pastor aide program at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. The special guests will include Traveling Kings, Virtuous, Heavenly Hearts, Owens Chapel, Mount Zion, Johnson Family, and more.
Henry J. Lyons, president of the National Trusted Partners for Christ Inc., will hold the winter board meeting Monday through Wednesday at New St. Hurricane Baptist Church, 3319 S. Ohio St.
At 7 p.m. Monday, there will be an opening program and musical.
The Great Faith Educational Banquet will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The keynote speaker will be Henry J. Lyons, president of NTPFC. The banquet tickets are $25. The featured guests will be the Barnes Sisters.
Late night services will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 9 p.m. Rev. Elijah Clark Jr., pastor of Mount Sinai Baptist Church at Kansas City, Kan., will deliver the message during the 9 p.m. meeting Wednesday.
