Two Pine Bluff residents recently enlisted into the Arkansas Army National Guard.
Private (PV2) Jasmine Nesby and Private First Class (PFC) Jeremy Gray of Pine Bluff recently enlisted and have earned education benefits valued at nearly $50,000 each, a spokesman said.
Nesby will attend basic training followed by advanced individual training at Ft. Lee, Va., as an automated logistical specialist. Nesby will then serve with Alpha Company 39th Brigade Support Battalion in Stuttgart.
Nesby is the daughter of Emil and Patricia Nesby of Holly Grove.
Gray will attend basic training then advanced individual training at Ft. Gordon, Ga. as an information technology specialist.
Gray will then serve with Charlie Company 39th Brigade Troops Battalion in Pine Bluff.
He is a Pine Bluff High School graduate and currently attends the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. Gray is the son of Lee Gray of Grady and Carolyn Gray of Pine Bluff.
