Two people were found dead early Saturday at a residence in the 1400 block of West 31st Avenue in Pine Bluff.
The bodies were sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for autopsies, according to a news release from Pine Bluff police, who did not identify the deceased. Police say they responded to a call from the scene and found the bodies of a male and female.
Police believe the deaths were the result of drug overdoses, but the investigation remains ongoing pending autopsy reports.
A man at the scene told police he found the woman, who was his cousin, and an unknown man dead at the residence at about 3 a.m. He said his cousin was a known user of narcotics, specifically those administered through a glass pipe.
