Two University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff hospitality and tourism management majors recently completed their summer internships with the Explore Charleston Intern Cultural Enrichment Program in Charleston, S.C.

Maria Bradley and Rayonna Gollett-Williams were two of 14 students selected for the 10-week program, according to a news release.

In addition to weekly leadership and professional development, they interned in their specific areas of interest.

Bradley worked with chefs at Slightly North of Broad Restaurant.

Gollett-Williams trained with a French pastry chef at Hotel Bennett, where she has been offered a position upon graduation.

During a closing ceremony, students received medals, certificates and True North plaques adorned with hand-crafted Gullah woven straw.

The program coordinators were Louis Yuhaz and Marc Gibson.
