The Whippoorwill Acres Homeowner’s Association is again sponsoring “A Mile of Yard Sales” for the subdivision located off Highway 104. The event scheduled for Saturday will begin at 7 a.m. This is the fourth year residents have had the sales day.
According to a spokesman for the association, there are over 70 homes on the mile-long stretch of Whippoorwill Lane and in the two side street coves.
“Not everyone can participate,” he said, “but a good number will have their articles out for people to choose some bargains. Because of the close proximity, it makes for a worthwhile day of yard sale shopping,” the spokesman added.
Whippoorwill Acres is located one mile north of 1-530.
