12 Jack Robey students arrested after reported fight

Twelve students at Jack Robey Junior High School were arrested Tuesday after a reported fight at the school.

Officer Richard Wegner said in a press release that all the students were 14 and 15 years old and were charged with disorderly conduct.

According to the press release, a disturbance involving several students broke out at about 1 p.m. and when school security and the school resource officer intervened, the students continued to fight with each other.

Wegner said the situation calmed down after other officers arrived to assist.

There were no reports of weapons involved or serious injuries and the fight allegedly started over neighborhood disputes not related to the school.
