A shooting in the 2500 block of West 34th Avenue and Old Warren Road in Pine Bluff Thursday afternoon has left Spencer Walker, 23, of Pine Bluff seriously injured, according to a police spokesman.
Pine Bluff Police Department detective Capt. Greg Shapiro said the incident occurred at about 2:18 p.m. and Walker was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center by ambulance for treatment of life threatening wounds.
The PBPD Detective Division has identified Leroy White III, 26, of Pine Bluff, who is suspected of being involved in the shooting.
Walker was conscious but unable to respond to questions from a police officer on scene immediately after the shooting.
Several juveniles who reportedly witnessed the shooting were picked up by the PBPD for questioning.

A woman at the scene told a reporter that the victim was outside talking on his cell phone when three youth came up to talk to him. She then heard gunshots, she said.
As of 9:45 p.m., Walker had made it through surgery, Shapiro said, and police are still looking for White.
